Orchard View was created for couples looking for a countryside escape that feels calm, private and genuinely different – somewhere to slow down, switch off and enjoy the experience of having an entire retreat to yourselves.

Set within a quarter-acre orchard at The Coach House in the Cotswolds, the adults-only retreat combines boutique-style interiors with immersive outdoor living, including a hot tub, sauna and outdoor cinema experience beneath the stars.

The orchard and surrounding paddocks are also home to a small flock of hens – many of them rescue hens – which guests will often spot roaming nearby during their stay. Their fresh eggs are shared with guests too, with a complimentary half dozen waiting on arrival whenever possible.

Orchard View is personally run by your hosts, Danny and Adey, whose relaxed and hands-on approach helps shape the calm and welcoming atmosphere guests experience during their stay.

Originally from Kent, Danny moved to The Coach House in 2007, while Adey has spent most of his life in Gloucestershire. After taking early retirement from the financial services industry, Danny found himself looking for a new challenge – something hands-on, creative and completely different from his previous career running an independent financial advice business.

Together, Danny and Adey began exploring the idea of creating a countryside retreat for couples – somewhere that felt more personal and immersive than a traditional glamping stay. Wanting to create the kind of stay they would genuinely love to book themselves, they decided to build Orchard View within the grounds of The Coach House.

Work on Orchard View began in 2022, with Danny and Adey completing much of the build themselves from the ground up. Rather than creating a larger site with multiple cabins and shared facilities, the focus was always on just one beautifully crafted retreat where guests could enjoy complete privacy and uninterrupted time away together.

Alongside running Orchard View, both Danny and Adey also work within the local NHS Reablement team, supporting people as they regain their independence following hospital stays – work they find incredibly rewarding and which reflects the same caring, people-focused approach guests experience during their stay.

As hands-on owners, they continue to personally look after the retreat and its surroundings, from maintaining the orchard and outdoor spaces to continually adding thoughtful touches that help guests feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.

The focus has never been on adding more cabins or expanding the site. Instead, Danny and Adey have chosen to keep Orchard View exactly as it is – a single adults-only retreat where guests can enjoy the orchard, sauna, hot tub and outdoor living spaces entirely to themselves.

Guests often comment that the experience feels even better in person than the photos suggest – something Danny and Adey are incredibly proud of and committed to preserving as Orchard View continues to grow in popularity
